Being 3, Yee Sinn is now very easily influenced by the advertisments on TV. One fine day she came up to me to request us to take her to the Bird Park after seeing the advert on TV.
Me : Why do you wanna go to the bird park for?
Yee Sinn: To see birds lor!
That was kind of a no-brainer question to her. Sigh. She's really growing up fast.
So came Saturday morning, I had to wake the entire household up early so that we can start the day at the Bird Park before it gets too hot. It has been about 1 year since we were there. Thanks to my company's corporate pass, we saved a lot in terms of entrance fees to the park.
Just like the previous time, the kids enjoyed themselves at the penguin and puffin enclosure. Grandma Lee and I just enjoyed the air-con comfort at the enclosure. We were lucky to have caught their feeding time. Watching the penguins dive for their food was quite fascinating.
One of the highlights for this holiday at the park was their Origami Villiage. There were several handicraft stations that allows the kids to colour, fold or make items like cranes, butterflies or ice blocks while learning about conservation of their habitats.
while hubby and Yee Sinn worked on some colourful butterflies.
Other than the orgami village, there were nothing new at the park. However, with better weather compared to our last visit, we did managed to check out the waterfall and the owl enclosure. Both hubby and I remembered visiting the bird park for it's tallest man-made waterfall (then) while were were both in Primary school.
