Little Yee Ruu is officially 6 months old. Like her sister, she is a happy smiley baby... but more fiesty in making her thoughts known. :-) She is still on breastmilk and that is because I still have the supply. I've already dropped 2 pumps but still has enough for all her required feeds.

I do enjoy the bonding time I have with her while latching her on. It's a somewhat nice feeling having to stroke my child's hair as I cuddle her while she suckle to sleep. I do treasure every such moments I have with Yee Ruu because I know I will miss doing so when she outgrows it. I tried to cuddle Yee Sinn like I did when she was a baby and realised that she has grown up so fast....

My two little girls are super close and super gluey to me.. but I'm not complaining. It's my pleasure to know that I'm so important to them and they see me as their centre of their universe.

Another milestone! We tried to feed Yee Ruu with semi-solid food today. I got 2 scoop of Friso Cream from a colleague last week and we finally get to let Yee Ruu try it. Verdict? I don't think she enjoyed it at all! She took a few mouth full and tried to gag herself silly indicating not to give her anymore. Guess we got to look for another alternative... will try giving her plain rice porridge instead of processed cereals instead.

My kids are so happy to have each other. Yee Sinn adores her little sister (and calls her "my little bumble bee") I was having my dinner when I noticed Yee Sinn went to her toy area, took out her bunny ears that she made at school for Chinese New Year, applied some glue to it and before I know it, she placed it on her little bumblebee's head. Surprisingly, it fits!!

Well... seems like our little bumblebee likes her hat after all... she was all smiley and grining from ear to ear with all that little attention from her sister. The picture above has her holding one of her favourite toy - a squeaky mouse that her sister bought for her to welcome her to the work.

Yee Ruu went for her 5 months check up and jabs yesterday evening. She is now weighs 6.26kg... slightly below the 50th percentile. But oh well.... somehow I'm not anxious about her weight gain as compared to Yee Sinn's.

Guess being a 2nd time mum, I'm now taking it much easier. As long as she's gaining a respectable amount of weight, eat and sleeps well... who cares how heavy she is compared to other babies? I just want my kids to be happy and well.

I was "summon" back to my mum's place over the weekend. I had to clear my room (or rather my previous room which has turned into a convinent store room for the entire family) as they intended to get the professional painters in to give the room a fresh new coat of paint. They will also be getting some one to sand down the parquet floor and give it a good layer of varnish.

So there I was... packing and junking things away.... Looking through my old stuff brought back many good memories of my younger days. These are what I found and I guess I'll still be keeping them for another good 10 years!

Greeting cards, post cards and letters from my close friends. Some were as old as 16 years!

My secondary school bible and Hymnal... I flipped to one of our class favourite song that went "It only takes a sparks, to get a fire going...."

Here is something that graced my notice board at my study desk for a few good years before I packed it away when I got married. An Irish blessing from a dear friend....

My driving lesson log book and my driving test booking slip. Proud to announce that I passed on my first attempt, soon after my 'A'-Levels.... now how old was I then?

Time really flies…Yee Ruu just turned 5 months yesterday. Like her sister, she is a smiley baby. She warms my heart every morning with a big wide smile and sloppy kisses (cos she has been drooling quite a bit).

At 5 months, she does have her quirks.
1. She doesn’t like strangers carrying her BUT she loves people talking to her

2. She doesn’t really like tummy time. She loves to flip forward but will whine after a while.

3. She loves watching her sister making silly faces at her. She’ll laugh at the slightest silly antic her sister make.. like shaking her head or calling her a bumble bee.

4. She loves going out and taking car rides. She’s often wide awake and aware of the things around her during our shopping trips or car ride. Often falling asleep only when we get home or when she’s placed in her stroller covered.

5. She loves to squeal with delight, often with her sister.

I’m also very blessed to have such a thoughtful elder daughter, who really dotes on Yee Ruu. I’m surprised at how inclusive she has been, often asking to have her little sister joining her in her activities even though she’s still too young for it.
