It has been quite some time since I last updated the blog. Grandma Lee got back from Korea the week before last and I was back at work clearing all the backlogs. There were so much to do and so little time.

Yee Sinn is officially 15 months old. She is learning pretty fast and her brain is like a sponge. Just a few days ago, she was next to Grandma Lee watching a TV drama for a very very short while. When it was time to put her to bed, she turned and looked at me, pointed to the TV and said " Ah Woo! Ah Woo!". I nearly flipped cos "Ah Woo" is one of the character in the TV show about Ping Pong. Wish she'll learn to say more meaningful words like Thank You and Welcome instead.

She is now in this stage where she'll copy everything we do... when she sees us taking a piece of rag to wipe water spill off the floor, she'll do likewise but with her clothes dragged out from her shelf instead. Argh!

Yee Sinn has a fascination with bags... any kind of bags with zips. She loves to play with our coin purse, her papa's haversack and my handbags. Every evening when I get back from work, she'll welcome me at the door. She'll greet me with her sweet "Harlow" before exclaiming "Bag! Bsg!". She'll then reach out her hands to take my bag away from me. Usually, she'll settle down in a corner in of the living room and start playing with the zipper and emptying the stuffs I have. Oh well, I'm quite cool about it (unlike her papa) cos I know her fetish with bags will pass. Told her papa to save some money for her first Prada or LV. WAHHAHAHAHA.

I'll post some recent pictures of her when I've got the time to download them.

Here's a short video clip that I took of my little girl at the airport last Saturday evening. It showed her enjoying the wide open space... and of course, making funny faces at the camera when she realised I was taping her. Naughty girl.

It was pretty hot yesterday afternoon so we decided to go to the library to chill. But before that, I had my lunch at Delifrance at the library. Yee Sinn was pre-occupied with the menu and the brochure stand. Of course, she enjoyed her sweet corn from my $7.90 set meal.

I'm enjoying my motherhood. First 2 days at home alone with Yee Sinn wasn't too bad. She already has a routine so as long as I follow it somewhat, it's a breeze for the both of us. There was a farewell party for my ex-boss yesterday so I brought her along to work for awhile. She was a bit shy initially but warmed up quite quickly to all the "uncles and aunties" who bribed her with toys.

We popped by my friend's place to see her 2 rabbits after lunch. Yee Sinn was very curious about the bunnies. However, she was brave enough to feed them lettuce off her hands and even patted them when she gets her chance. It's a pity we forgot to snap some pictures. We brought her to the playground in the evening but most of her friends were not around. She lost interest quite quickly before walking towards Toa Payoh Central to check out the shops there. Wondering if she'll be a shopperholic next time.

Grandma Lee just flew off to Korea yesterday evening. She'll be away for 8 days so I'll be spending lots of time with Yee Sinn during these few days. I've managed to take 2 full days off work and 3 half days. There's plenty of work to be done so as much as I would like to take the whole full week off, I just couldn't. So the big plan is to drop off Yee Sinn at Grandma Chang's place from Wed to Fri afternoon for a couple of hours while I work. Hope this arrangement will work our fine.

I'm looking forward to spending my "vacation leave" with my little girl and have already planned out what we'll be doing together the next few days. Meanwhile, I may not be able to post any entries cos I anticipate that I'll be pretty tied up with the chores and childcare. Wish me luck!

Oh, just to add, Yee Sinn has been teething lately and the last I checked, she has about 6 new pearlies emerging from her gums. I think it must have made her pretty uncomfortable which explains why these few nights she has been quite wakeful. She has been whining in bed in the middle of the night and asking for me to sleep beside her for comfort. Hope she'll get better soon.

Yee Sinn was down with fever yesterday. I got a call from Grandma Lee and my heart just jumped when she said Yee Sinn's burning and she wasn't sure what medicine to give her. Told her to give our little girl a cold bath while I rushed back after taking urgent time off work. So you can guess, I was pretty much busy taking her temperature, feeding her medicine and sponging her the whole night.

She kind of recovered from her fever today and was back to her usual chatty self. Since today's Good Friday, I decided to give the family a treat by making pancakes. I simply love the Morinaga brand of pancake mix. The mix comes in small packs and it's enough to make approximately 6 to 8 decent size pancakes. This brand of mix can be purchase at Isetan supermarket.

I fed Yee Sinn her usual mix of oats cereal before I let her sample the pancakes. Hee, so now beside my hubby who has been my faithful pancake fan, Yee Sinn joined the ranks too. Simply love the way she points at the plate and say "Muum Muum"

It rained pretty heavily in the afternoon so we couldn't go out to the park as planned. Instead, we headed down to Ikea in the evening for dinner. We could only think of Ikea as it's one of the children friendly place nearby our home. We were a bit diasppointed when we got to the resturant. We'll usually sit at the children's play area for our meals while watching Yee Sinn plays. But today, Yee Sinn wasn't very interested and wanted to be out of the play area because there were a bunch of very much older kids (about 10 or 12 years old) behaving very rowdlly. They were pretty much terrorising all the other smaller kids and chasing them away from their "territory". We quickly finished our dinner and took her to the kids section instead. She had some fun with a small trolley where she placed a bear in it and started pushing it around.

Here's a picture of our little girl enjoying her corn. It's one of her favourite vegetable right now. She also loves corn soup. She'll point to the bowl of soup in between her feed and say "Eat! Eat!". Her other favourite soup is pork ribs with carrots. I was plucking the corn off one by one but I guess she got a bit impatient that she grabbed the entire piece to chew on. Oh yes, Yee Sinn is teething again so perhaps it explained why she just kept chewing on her piece of corn. See the huge amount of perspiration? Must have been lots of hard work.
